The emphasis and value of the tax team is driven by the managing partners’ career-long tax focus.
The Portsmouth office hosts a large, diverse team from trainees and newly qualified professionals to directors. The dynamic office creates a relaxed and open atmosphere where the early-career professionals work closely to learn from the managerial team. With a high retention rate, the managerial team are able to see their junior staff develop – hence, the social culture of the firm. It really does have that ‘family’ feel that a lot of multi-office practices lack.
The role itself will see you working very closely with the personal tax partner, who is an incredibly supportive and approachable professional. The portfolio hosts mostly HNWI’s with advisory work on CGT, IHT and tax planning. There is also the opportunity to get involved in trusts and estates should you want to develop your career in this direction.
