Private Client Tax Senior Manager
Job description
Private Client Tax Senior Manager – Reading
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded, partner-led accountancy practice with a strong reputation in the private client space. Based in Reading, the firm advises a diverse and sophisticated client base and offers a collaborative, supportive environment where senior professionals are trusted, visible, and encouraged to shape the direction of the team.
The Role
As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-level advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, shareholders, and international clients. The work is varied and technically engaging, spanning capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts and estates, property-related tax issues, and international matters. You will be involved in bespoke tax planning projects, including shareholder planning and transaction-led advice.
You will manage and continue to develop your own portfolio of private clients, building strong, long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory support. Alongside this, you will oversee the delivery of complex compliance and advisory work, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
The role also carries a strong leadership element. You will supervise and mentor junior members of the team, contribute to their development, and support the ongoing growth and strategic direction of the private client tax practice.
Business development is an important part of the position, with opportunities to take part in networking, marketing initiatives, and cross-department collaboration to deliver joined-up advice to clients.
You will also be responsible for reviewing complex tax returns and computations, ensuring work meets both technical standards and internal risk and compliance requirements.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is a senior, visible role within a firm that values technical excellence, collaboration, and long-term client relationships.
You will have a genuine platform to influence, lead, and progress to Director.
