The Firm:

This is an award winning firm with a strong tax presence. The practice has a rapidly expanding tax team in Cambridge. The fee base has seen double digit growth in the last few years (due to the growth of new business and acquisition) and this trend looks set to continue. The firm’s clients are primarily UK based and international SME’s with an entrepreneurial slant. The management board has a clear strategic vision for the practice and this is an organisation that is going places.

The Role:

This is a position that will allow you to grow and develop the tax team.
As a tax partner you will contribute to the strategic direction of the firm and be an important part of the decision making process.

This is a technical tax role with a high level of client interaction and business development. You will provide support and advice to the partners and the clients and targets of the firm. As part of your remit, you will accompany partners to new client meetings and assist in converting those prospects. You will work on areas that include: Group restructuring, exit planning, R&D, EIS, property tax planning, international tax issues and the general issues involving an entrepreneurial client base. You will act as a mentor figure to junior staff and contribute to the strategic direction of the team.

Prospects:

This is a rapidly expanding practice with a strategic desire to expand the tax practice across its offices. The firm would like to recruit an ambitious individual with the desire to make partner. The partners can give examples of senior staff that have joined from Big 4, Mid-Tier firms and have advanced to a senior position.

What do you need to qualify?

A background of dealing with high quality clients gained at a regional Big 4 or mid-tier firm (London or otherwise) A consultancy tax background with proven experience of dealing with sizeable SME’s. A track record of client interaction and business development.
