This dynamic and forward thinking mid-tier firm is investing heavily in its tax team (across all tax disciplines) with a view to growth. The firm has a substantial London presence and several regional offices. Clients include quoted companies and fast growing SME’s. In addition to the UK work the firm has a network that provides a substantial amount of work from international clients.
The Trust Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Trust and tax function within the Private Client Group. The portfolio of clients is mainly UK trusts with some off-shore Trusts. The role will requires sound technical expertise and management experience. This is an advisory focused role with management and compliance review.
Some aspects of this role:
•Identifying tax, particularly trust and IHT, planning opportunities and being able to convey the potential rewards and risks to clients and prospects
•Leading or work alongside partners with tax consultancy assignments, particularly Inheritance tax (IHT)
•Monitor compliance work of your team and ensure a high standard of work
•Work with clients to develop opportunities in relation to further work
•Actively promote the Trust and tax function in the firm internally and externally
•Represent the firm at seminars, presentations and events
The role is envisaged to further you to the position of senior manager In a 18-30 month time span. The practice has a desire to develop someone to the position of partner (providing the incumbent can provide an effective business case) and will welcome ambitious individuals who wish to get on.
