I am recruiting for one of my top clients in London. This is with a firm that has grown through organic growth and investment. This is not a “traditional accountancy firm”, but a modern business. The business is highly profitable and has a great reputation. The tax team has seen double digit growth in the last year, due partly to this reputation, but also thanks to strategic hires and investment.
As the VAT partner, you will be responsible for deciding the strategic direction of the team. There is a fee base in place and more that can be generated from existing clients. You will also have the support and budget to develop more business.
What will you be doing in your first year?
Put together a business plan that will allow you grow fees from existing clients and new targets.
Work out your resources and recruit high quality people that will allow you to smash your targets.
Raise your profile within the firm and the outside market.
