Job description
Private Client Tax Manager
Private client tax work varies enormously between firms. In some teams the work is largely compliance driven. In others the focus is advisory, dealing with the financial affairs of families whose interests often extend across businesses, property, trusts and investments.
This role sits firmly in the second category.
The firm has built long-standing relationships with individuals, landed estates, family companies and property businesses across the region. Many of the clients have complex affairs, which means the tax team is regularly involved in planning around trusts, succession, estate structuring and family-owned businesses.
The position involves managing a portfolio of private clients while also working closely with partners on advisory matters. It is a role that requires judgement as much as technical knowledge.
The team itself is experienced and stable. The firm has grown steadily but has deliberately retained the feel of an independent practice where people know their clients personally and take time to understand their circumstances.
The role would suit a qualified ACA or CTA with established private client tax experience who is comfortable managing relationships and advising on a broad range of personal tax matters.
Strong scope for progression as the team continues to develop.
For someone who enjoys the advisory side of private client work and values long-term client relationships, this offers a strong and stable platform.
