|Job Title||Personal Tax Senior Manager|
|Salary||£65000 - £73000 per annum|
|Job Published||10 months ago|
|Who to Contact||Medet Ali|
This is not your average ‘local’ firm, but a successful, global business on your door step. Everyone who meets with them are impressed and this is down to the partners. The partners have a track record of developing their staff and genuinely value people. They have a track record of developing professionals who want to advance, as they feel it’s a fundamental business principle to encourage ambition in a professional services firm. You would think that would be the norm, but we all know of firms who neglect this culture.
You’ll sit within a team of intelligent, friendly and professional individuals, coming from a variety of backgrounds. Some did their time on the dreaded Paddington commute to gain the London ‘Big 4’ experience and some were trained at local independent firms. You may expect a Top Tier firm, experiencing such success to require long hours… but quite the contrary, in this office your work/lifestyle balance is respected, with no ‘overtime culture’.
“The whole team are friendly yet professional, everyone genuinely enjoys being here”
So, when you finish at a decent time, you can venture 4 minutes down the road to the best riverside restaurant in Reading. Even if you aren’t interested in the role – get in touch to find out about this place. It’s owned by the chef… that says it all.
What does the role involve?
You will support the tax partner on high level private client tax projects. The tax partner has a variety of tax experience from personal to corporate and R&D to trusts, he’s a true ‘all-rounder’ who promotes his staff to be involved in as many aspects as they desire. This freedom to develop is just one of the reasons for the offices’ high retention rate.
You will have the opportunity of shadowing the partner and developing your own network. You will provide advice on issues such as: tax efficient schemes, pensions, IHT and CGT related planning.
The role is designed to progress you. The firm will provide you with the tools to make this happen. The ‘tools’ will include giving you exposure to some of the firms best clients to improve your technical and commercial skills and consistent, valuable feedback from the partner throughout the path to partner.
To take advantage of this rare local opportunity apply now. I’m happy to discuss further (both the restaurant and the role.)
