What You’ll Do

Your job will involve functioning as a manager for a full portfolio of general practice clients. These clients are typically multi-jurisdictional, high net worth individuals, and trustees and family offices. You’ll advise them on a range of issues, including tax matters and succession planning.

The bulk of your client work will surround UK-resident, non-domiciled individuals and clients, who tend to have multi-jurisdictional personal interests and remittance planning.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll provide technical advice to the tax team, as well as dealing with ad-hoc queries from clients within the portfolio that you’ll manage. You’ll also have a commercial mindset as your service and meet the demands of the clients. 

As this is a management role, you’ll be expected to coach and mentor more junior members of the staff, as well as ensuring that their work meets the high standards expected from the firm. You will also be closely involved in team meetings and appraisals.

The team you’ll manage is already in place, and you’ll be supported by an experienced head of the team with whom you will work closely. You’ll also work, on occasion, with the wider UK private client tax team.

The management of your own portfolio will involve ensuring that billing procedures and debtor control are in order and liaising with appropriate partners when necessary. 

The backgrounds and needs of the clients can range significantly, with the clients' financial needs being diverse and, frequently, highly complex.
