The M&A tax team sits within the consultancy team.

The team consists of an experienced partner and senior manager, supported by more junior tax staff.

The team has ambitious plans to grow the business line and has no shortage of opportunities - in other words, you will not lack work.

The M&A tax team advises across all areas of transaction tax. The clients are primarily owner-managed businesses, although the business is winning and delivering work involving institutional buyers and investors.

The work is generated primarily from referrals from clients, intermediaries and the firm's corporate finance team. Partnering with the corporate finance team allows the business to provide an attractive offering to the market.

Example of the work undertaken by the business includes Tax restructuring; Due diligence for acquisitions and lending reviews; Transaction tax support and structuring advice on sale mandates; Post sale integration; group rationalisation exercises.

The team is on every deal from start to finish providing advice on every aspect.
