Job description

We have a rare position in the local market with one of our top clients in Cambridge. The position would be ideal for someone who is looking for greater autonomy and growth.

The partners at this firm want you to lead the R&D tax offering and grow and develop the fee base.

You will be responsible for deciding the team's strategic direction and putting together a plan of action that will allow you to grow and develop the R&D offering. There is already an existing R&D fee base in place and juniors that can support your work. Your first 12 months will involve you mining the existing client base, implementing the processes and building your internal and external network. If you hit your (very achievable) targets, you will be looking at promotion. After that, it’s up to you. The senior partner would certainly like someone to make a partner, which is a practice that recognises the effort and non-billing contributions.

Other than the opportunity, one of the big attractions of the firm is its culture - the partners are friendly, approachable and highly supportive – The firm is proof that you can combine commercial success with a great work lifestyle balance. Partners and staff work decent hours, and the business still manages to hit its growth targets every year.
