R&D Tax Manager
Job description
Are you looking for a tax position in the emerging R&D tax credit sector? A leading firm is looking to hire an R&D tax manager to provide OMB/SME direct tax advisory services to the firm’s clients, which include high-growth business clients. The job is primarily R&D tax-oriented, but there’ll also be opportunities to work in other tax fields. Based in the southwest, it’s a great opportunity for a tax professional to further their career and direct their development in a way that interests them.
Who You Are
You’ll be a qualified tax professional that already has some experience working in a tax environment. In the past, you’ll have had exposure to various complex tax assignments and will be CTA or ACA/ACCA qualified (or willing to work towards qualification). There’ll be further opportunities to add more qualifications to your CV via the firm, too.
The Role
This role will encompass various tax aspects but will primarily deal with R&D tax credits. You’ll form part of the tax advisory services team, working with more senior firm members to deliver great results both on time and within budget.
On any given day, you could find that you’re working on any number of tasks. These could include complex corporate tax compliance and the identification and preparation of R&D tax credit claims. As part of this process, you’ll work closely with the R&D lead manager and partner.
You may also find that you’re working on EMI options, as well as matters relating to EIS/SEIS. Corporate finance transaction tax advisory and due diligence, as well as corporate demergers/reconstruction, will also form part of your duties on occasion.
Above all, you’ll work to maintain and develop the reputation of the firm. You’ll do this by submitting first-class work and investigating and managing problems as and when they arise, including liaising with other departments within the firm.
You’ll have an ongoing interest in tax affairs, ensuring that you always deliver high-quality, up to date advice, and will carefully manage assignments so that they’re always delivered on time and within budget.
Ready to step up your career and think this might be the right role for you? Then be sure to get in touch to learn more about the role, including the application process. A career can go to great places when a professional is working in an environment that is both challenging and supportive, and that’s just what this opportunity provides.
