Job description

Seize the opportunity today to redefine your career path and thrive in an environment that respects and supports your lifestyle choices.

We are partnering with a well-established, mid-tier firm to offer you a manager position in their successful and friendly private client tax team.  This opportunity is as much about the future as it is about the present.

The Firm:

This prestigious firm boasts an extensive track record in the private client field. Recognised as a leader in both private client tax services and financial planning, the firm's success is driven by an expert leadership team consisting of multiple private client tax partners.

With a culture that promotes collaboration and teamwork, they have created an empowering work environment that suits grown-ups.  There is very little in the way of “corporate politics” in this team.

What sets this firm apart is not just its technical prowess but also its commitment to staff development. The partners pride themselves in their approachability, taking time to understand their employees and family commitments.

As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will be a crucial part of this commitment.

The role:

Your role as the Private Client Tax Manager will be instrumental, where you will oversee annual compliance work for your own client portfolio and directly support partners in planning and training initiatives.

The client base mainly consists of high-net-worth individuals, including sole traders and partnerships. The firm serves a majority of UK residents but does handle non-resident and non-domiciliary issues-particularly in planning for individuals moving to and from the UK. Beneficiaries of UK and non-UK trusts are also amongst their clientele.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Handling all aspects of income tax and capital gains tax.
  • Reviewing self-assessment tax returns prepared by other staff members.
  • Regular liaison with clients on ad-hoc assignments, covering inheritance tax, income tax, and capital gains tax.
  • Undertaking and assisting partners in advisory work, including preparation of reports on IHT planning, residence, UK trusts, and appropriate business structure.

Prospects and commitment to a work-life-balance.

The firm operates on a hybrid working model that allows for tailored workdays based on personal needs. They provide a supportive environment that respects your professional growth ambitions, as well as your personal commitments outside work.

The firm is growing and is keen to promote from within.  If you are ambitious and looking for a place where you can progress with the full backing of a successful team and high-quality private client tax partners,  then this is the opportunity you have been waiting for. You can make senior manage in 12-24 months.
