Job description

A great opportunity within a London-based corporate tax specialist team has emerged for a CTA-qualified tax professional.

There are always opportunities for good corporate tax professionals in the tax industry, but some are better than others. As a person with experience working in a tax-focused role, you should be striving to work within a firm that offers interesting and engaging work and offers you the opportunity to grow professionally and develop your career.

If that all sounds appealing, then we have a role that may be of interest. A London-based corporation tax specialist team is looking for a tax supervisor within their corporate tax department. The firm is a growing business and provides corporation tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients operating in various industries.

The role is client-facing, so strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well with colleagues and strong time-management skills. Part of your functions will involve working on tax compliance and providing advisory guidance, ensuring that your considerable and diverse skills are put to good use.

This is the perfect role for CTA/ACA qualified. The firm is committed to developing its employees and can help develop your career by acquiring professional qualifications.

What You’ll Be Working On

Since we spend so much time of our lives at work, we must be kept engaged and excited by our work. In this role, you’ll have the chance to work on a whole host of interesting duties. So what will you be working on? Let’s take a look.

You’ll work on tax compliance issues for clients that include companies and other organisations. As a more senior member of the team, you’ll also oversee more junior staff members, including reviewing the work and ensuring that their functions are delivered on time and to a high standard.

You’ll also have the chance to work on tax advisory projects. This will be conducted in conjunction with managers, including tax advisory tasks, group tax planning, venture capital tax reliefs, and R&D tax relief. You’ll also be involved in the development of the tax sections of due diligence reports and helping with EMI and EIS/SEIS documentation, as well as liaising with HMRC.

Who You Are

First and foremost, you’re a professional who prides themselves on delivering the highest standard of work and delivering it on time. You’ll have managed your own client portfolio of corporate clients in the past and may also have had some experience in providing advisory work.

More broadly, you’ll have the skills to work on your own, without the supervision of others. You’re a self-starter who is also happy to work as part of a team. You also excel at all levels of communication.
