I am recruiting for a wealth management company in London. The business is keen to meet with a capable and talented tax professional who enjoys a challenge and has the ambition to progress.
The organisation has experienced a sustained period of growth that has seen staff numbers grow and the revenue consistently exceed its targets. The consultancy has tripled in size in the last 5 years and this is a trend that looks set to continue.
The company provides advisory services for HNWI’s and corporate groups with international connections. This is an all-round service provider who specialise in tax, financial planning, asset and wealth management. Tax is an important part of the offering and one the directors are keen to develop further.
The consultancy has a dynamic and friendly attitude that is apparent when you speak to the staff and principals.
The work/life balance is a lot better then a number of the larger firms, although this is not a part time job and does need commitment. In other words you will need to be the kind of individual who wants to develop and progress.
The role will involve you dealing with the tax technical work and ensuring your team performs to a high standard. The advisory work will be focused on the issues of HNWI’s although experience around business tax would be an advantage. You will have a manager to deal with the review work and their is in-house support of business tax matters.
What will your first 12 months look like?
Building trust and actively engaging with the clients and wealth managers will allow you to provide a high quality tax advisory offering to your clients. You will develop a plan of action for your team by looking at each individual and evaluating their skill set. You will work in conjunction with your senior staff to ensure the structure and processes of the team are working at optimum. As you build up your profile, you will set up networking/breakfast events to convey valuable information to your clients and generate new work. You will gain a reputation for tax and be the go to person for your clients and the IFA's. The directors will view you as a valuable addition to the business and reward you for the value you bring to consultancy.
What are the rewards?
Attractive base and bonus structure 25-50% at this level.
A range of benefits.
The option to buy into the business.
What background will you need?
A strong focus on private client tax and some business tax experience.
A credible background gained working with HNWI’s.
