This is a great opportunity to join a high profile private client tax team in a law firm. This firm has seen double digit growth over the last couple of years, a sizable portion of which has come from its private client team.
This is a modern firm, with modern facilities, and a modern attitude to the work environment. The firm’s recent upgrade to cloud technology has allowed staff to work with increased flexibly in regards to location and hours.
The partners want you to excel and believe the most effective way for you to do so is by giving you the freedom to develop.
As well as being responsible for your portfolio of clients you will also be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of junior staff, including relaying feedback and training. The open plan office allows for high level networking and cross selling opportunities– a must for any tax consultant looking to spot opportunities and leverage new work.
The role focuses around providing tax planning for private clients, ranging from High Net Worth Individuals to Trusts and Estates. Working with clients like these offers substantial opportunity to advise and consult with your clients. This will result in your time being split evenly between both advisory and compliance.
In this role you will be providing high level advisory and compliance work for you own portfolio of clients that includes those in excess of £100 Million.
Other aspects of the role include:
Providing high level advice on IHT and CGT.
You will manage a client base and provide advice and planning on matters such as residence and domicile, trusts (UK and International), capital taxes and IHT.
Work on complicated projects with partners and lead the relationship on a number of occasions.
Review complicated returns prepared by junior staff.
