Job description

This is an opportunity to join a well-established, mid-tier firm with a highly regarded private client team and a reputation for delivering high-quality work in a supportive, grown-up environment.

The team is partner-led, collaborative, and deliberately low on hierarchy, which means you’ll have direct access to senior decision-makers and meaningful involvement in client work.

The Firm

The practice has built a strong position in the private client space, advising high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and families.

What tends to stand out is the culture.

This is not a heavily layered or political environment. The partners are approachable, engaged, and invested in the development of the team. There is a genuine emphasis on doing good work without unnecessary internal pressure.

The Role

As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will manage your own portfolio while working closely with partners on advisory projects.

The work is a mix of compliance and advisory, including:

  • Income tax and capital gains tax matters

  • Review of self-assessment returns

  • Inheritance tax planning

  • Residence and domicile issues

  • UK and offshore trust work

  • Structuring and planning for individuals moving to and from the UK

You will also play a role in supporting and developing junior team members, while maintaining direct relationships with clients.

Why This Role

Working closely with a partner will give you greater visibility and advisory-focused work.

There is also a clear and realistic progression path. The firm is growing and has a strong track record of promoting from within, with a genuine opportunity to progress to Senior Manager within 12–24 months.

Alongside this, the firm offers a flexible, hybrid working model that supports both professional development and life outside of work.
