This opportunity is with a highly regarded firm in Cambridge with one of the strongest local presences in the market. The business tax team continues to win good-quality work and competes with much larger firms, while still offering the kind of environment where people are known properly by the partners.

As a Business Tax Manager, you would take responsibility for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and growing companies, advising on a broad range of corporate tax matters.

The work is varied. You would manage compliance delivery, identify advisory opportunities, deal directly with clients and support planning work across areas such as company restructuring, profit extraction, remuneration planning, transactions, capital allowances and wider OMB tax issues.

You would also work closely with the partners, giving you proper visibility and the chance to build strong internal relationships. That matters if you want your next move to lead somewhere, rather than simply becoming another portfolio manager.

The firm is looking for someone with strong business tax experience, ideally ATT and/or CTA qualified, who is confident managing client relationships, reviewing work and supporting junior members of the team.
