Provide "technical" support to more senior members of staff, with the longer-term aim of developing into a "tax professional". The role will be critical in ensuring a high quality, consistent service is provided to clients and the successful candidate will develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the clients to ensure stability and continuity is maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Quick learner; able and willing to carry out a range of client and technical work
- Commercially aware with a general interest in business and finance
- A degree of flexibility to meet client /department needs and deadlines
What are they looking for?
- Team player; ability to integrate with new teams quickly
- Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output
- Tax experience desirable, but not essential as full training will be given
- Study support may be available towards the ATT or CTA as applicable
- Good numerical skills
- Calm and methodical, can adhere to and manage deadlines
- Excellent communication skills - written, questioning and listening
- Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and handle challenges
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
- Self starter; willing to be accountable for their decisions and output
- A-Levels or equivalent - 2 (preferably grade C or above)
- GCSE's - 6 (grade C or above, including maths and English language)
- Computer literate
